Lauren joined the WECT team in September of 2022 as a multimedia journalist/reporter.
Lauren grew up in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Western Michigan University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. While attending school, she interned at WOOD-TV 8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She also worked as a lifestyle reporter for Rose Tv in Rosemont, Illinois. She reported on local events happening within the exciting village such as restaurant openings, professional sports teams and special events.
She has always been a Midwest girl but is excited to start her new adventure in the south away from the bitter winters.
Outside of the newsroom, Lauren enjoys finding new cafés and coffee shops, meeting new people and reading a book on the beach while hearing the waves crash.
