Motorcyclist dies after crash with dump truck in Columbus County near SC border

COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - A motorcyclist from Pennsylvania died after a collision involving a dump truck on N.C. 905 near Old Dothan Road on Thursday, May 18.
According to an N.C. State Highway Patrol representative, the dump truck made a turn but overcorrected, crossing the center line and striking a ditch.
They say that the driver then continued south on N.C. 905 and collided with the motorcycle, which was driving north.
The motorcycle’s rider, 58-year-old Robert Kuhn, died due to the crash.
Charges are currently still pending for the driver of the dump truck.
This is an ongoing investigation.
