RIEGELWOOD, N.C. (WECT) - Columbus County has rescinded a boil water advisory as of Wednesday, March 22, primarily in the Riegelwood Sanitary District.

According to Brunswick Co. Public Utilities, the results from the Total Coliform samples that were taken throughout the water district had no bacteria present in the system.

“The results of the Volatile Organic Compound samples that were taken throughout Columbus County Water and Sewer District IV are less than the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) limits for these compounds,” Public Utilities wrote in a press release.
